BBC Radio Stoke love to get out and about and talk to listeners where ever they find them.
Starting on Tuesday the 3rd of September 2019 Bbc Stoke based themselves in the market place of Stafford outside the Guildhall.
BBC Stoke in Stafford
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Paula White and Denholm Siegertsz both came out the office and head to Stafford to spend mid-morning finding out what made the people there tick. But it was until Friday when Perry Spiller came down the A34 and brought his full show from the market place. A fun-filled 3 hours ending with Top-Of–The-Pots in the last half hour.
The RHS garden shows are a staple of the BBC Bus and have been for years.
In the North West we broadcast from RHS Tatton Park flower show each year.
With a memorial garden dedicated to the memory of the late BBC North West weather presenter, Diane Oxberry who died suddenly on the 10th of January 2019. Due to that garden the BBC Bus didn't just turn up for the broadcast but stayed open to interact with the RHS members and visiters. Glen Hunt was added to the Bus staff to help with that. Mutil briadcast from BBC Radio Lancashire and BBC Radio Manchester where added to broadcast ftom BBC Radio Stoke, BBC Radio Meresyside and BBC Radio Cumbria.
BBC Radio Stoke has launched a new Sports program.
Same Sports team, new time. Each weekday night between 6pm and 7pm.
Each night they will talk about all the sport effecting Staffordshire and Cheshire including the three local football teams.
Now its time to get the message out there.
In one week in March all three football clubs have a home game. BBC Radio Stoke went all guns blazing to promote the new show with each of the three sets of home fans.
On the 3rd of March we turned up outside Vale park, home of league one club, Port Vale before they played Oldham. The next night we went to the Britannia Stadium in Stoke for the Premiership match between Stoke City and Everton.
Finally on the 7th of March we were outside Gresty Road in Crewe for Crewe's League One game v Scunthorpe United. Each day an army of BBC Staff are handing out car stickers along with a leaflet about what is going to be on the new sports show. Just for information..Port Vale Lost that game, Stoke and Crewe both won.
BBC Radio Stoke set out in February 2014 on the LOVE BUS.
The Love bus was another way of showing "we love where you live" but this week ended with the most romatic day of the year, Valentines day. But it seemed the weather had not read the script.
